Looking Back
Hey we just want to thank each and every one of you folks for all you have shown us ad given us as a family this past year. We have grown in ways that you can not understand, heck we don't even understand it, but all we can say is that God is good. This year has been a year of growth not only in numbers for our little church but the spiritual growth we have seen in each one of you has been amazing to us!! You are all such a blessing and we thank God for you each day. We have seen you grow in compassion for one another, we have seen you want to reach out to the community and show God's love to others the way the Word tells us we should. If we reflect, we can see that we added another adult Sunday School class, Our children's Sunday School has grown from our two boys to some Sundays having 7 kids in there! We have had people step and help with the Wednesday night adult study, freeing Dallas up to concentrate on other things. We have gained discipleship teachers so that we have two that can rotate in the nursery (when the little ones don't put the teachers on a guilt trip for not being in there). We have three teachers for the middler kids which allows Jo to be out in the sermon four weeks at a time now!! And getting somebody with a heart for our teenagers has been a huge blessing.
Last year we were so overwhelmed with being in this position that we did not do much for the holidays but this year we had a huge turn out for decorating the church, beautifully I might add. We had our second retreat/ladies night and other activities for the holiday season with such great support and participation from the congregation.
But we don't think anything can beat the growth we have seen in this church during this last week. We cannot thank you enough for the opportunity we had to go to Wyoming for Christmas. Like we shared, it made no sense by the 5 senses point of view for us to make this trip but only 5 days into the trip we were able to see the events unfold as to why God laid it on our hearts so much to come. It felt so good to know that we don't have to worry about things being taken care of while we are gone and even when plans changed you all are just going with the flow right along with us. Thank you. Thank you for your love, your prayers and your concern. We feel God's love pouring out through you for us. You're awesome!!
